After sparking speculation with a social media black-out, Jennifer Lopez has returned and officially announced her first traditional album in eight years.

Moments ago, J.Lo celebrated the 20th anniversary of her third studio album ‘This Is Me…Then’ by announcing a thematic sequel of sorts, ‘This Is Me…Now.’
It marks the diva’s first English-language LP since 2014’s ‘A.K.A.’

Set for a 2023 release, Lopez said of the 13-track project:
“This album is a philosophy, a reflection, a zeitgeist moment. It’s about hope, faith and true love never dying.”

Say whatever folk will, there’s no denying that J.Lo has continued to age like a fine wine – most notably as a performer.

So excited ! This is me then is actually my favorite Jlo album. I’m sure it will be different from that but I love when she does more rnb songs because it compliments her voice better
Definitely her best album! She had a lot of ghost singers , but she has been taking lessons with her vocal coach Stevie Mackie who has stated that her work ethic and improvements are impressive. I am looking forward to NOW!

“Convoluted”? The theme makes perfect sense and it’s clever marketing. It’s the 20-year anniversary of This Is Me… Then, and she’s reflecting on her journey over that time to become who she is now (This is Me… Now). How is that any bit “confusing and convoluted”?

Like Ciara, her musical output recently pales in comparison to her persona. If this new album leans into r&b it COULD be a decent one. Everything else is in place but strong songs. We shall see…

JLO is more of a singles artist. Her albums rarely go anywhere for me. I typically find myself skipping through songs. I will say though that, What is Love? and AKA weren’t that bad. She’s mid for me. Will see how this new album sounds.
I have high hope in this album . But i really wish she includes some bangers in it coz dance-Lo is the best and it will attract new generations to it
